Reducing our ecological footprint

We have been trying to reduce the environmental impact of our activities for some time now. Unfortunately, some brilliant projects have not progressed in the past few years. However, there are several successful changes we can already tell you about.

We are currently replacing materials containing PVC with more environmentally friendly alternatives. For example, large advertising banners will be printed on PVC-free mesh and various fabrics. Although this type of banner is more expensive, more and more customers are starting to value a product being eco-friendly over it costing less. In comparison to vinyl banner material, PVC-free fabric is undoubtedly a more presentable and attractive material. Thus, despite the price, it is still relatively easy to sell interior advertising products made with polyester fabric instead of the classic material.

In PVC-free advertising panels, where one SEG frame can be used repeatedly for new advertising campaigns, the silicon edge graphics fabric is simply replaced.

In order for the fabric to be easy to use at exhibitions and events, classic display stands must be replaced with the new alternatives. For the fabric we have three product ranges: composite trusses, T-Flex profiles for silicon edge graphics and S-Tube zipper wall systems. The S-Tube can replace the classic roll-ups, banner stands and pop-up walls. The trusses can be used to construct large photo walls, portable display stands, advertising towers, pop-up stores and more. T-Flex is a customised SEG profile system. The products are interior decoration panels for walls, partition walls with custom graphics (patterns and photos), display stands and lightboxes, light pylons and illuminated cubes covered in graphics for your store, exhibitions or public spaces. New additions to the T-Flex are noise-absorbing acoustic partition walls and canvas panels on the walls.

Roll-up replaced by zipper walls with changeable fabric. The PVC material is replaced with a fabric that has been printed on with water-based dyes. Unlike the roll-up, this advertising stand does not need to be switched out for every new advertisement campaign.

An important advantage of all these solutions is their reusability. While exhibitions are often constructed using PVC boards or reboards that are discarded after the event, truss and T-Flex enable you to simply switch out the graphic fabrics and head to the next event with a new message. An additional advantage of the truss is the option to adjust the exhibition stands for areas of various sizes. The same applies, for example, to the S-Tube replacing the roll-up. While the roll-up is usually discarded when the ad needs to be replaced, the S-Tube zipper wall simply requires a new fabric to be ordered and installed, enabling you to continue using the same stand.

In addition to using more ecological materials, we are also using more ecological ink. While PVC is printed with solvent-based ink, our fabric and polyester mesh is printed with water-based ink that complies with OEKO-Tex standards.

Another way we significantly reduce our footprint is by recycling aluminium. The melting of recycled aluminium uses just 5% of the energy that was needed to produce it from ore in the first place. This is a 20-fold energy saving. Reusing display stands that are not familiar to you is difficult, expensive and at times impossible, but display stands can be scrapped and recycled. As such, we have set up a receiving and scrapping system for aluminium billboards. Some parts are recycled, while those that can’t be, are appropriately utilised at our own expense.
